Senior Years

The Glennie School understands that relationships and motivation are the key to learning in adolescence, and that for learning to become a lifelong habit, the motivation needs to come from within.

The Year 11 and Year 12 program helps students develop into capable and confident young women of strength and integrity, who are optimistic, self-aware, and adaptable, with a strong sense of compassion and social justice.

The Glennie School understands that relationships and motivation are the key to learning in adolescence, and that for learning to become a lifelong habit, the motivation needs to come from within. The focus is to provide girls with a curriculum which gives them every opportunity to:

  • Experience and achieve success in a range of areas.
  • Develop their curiosity.
  • Use their creativity,

Year 7 to Year 10

The Glennie School’s Year 7 to Year 10 program provides teenage girls with the tools to interact successfully, grow in confidence and take educational risks so that they can reach their potential.

Our progressive and innovative program encourages girls to explore their individuality and the world they live in while advancing their skills and learning. This is achieved through a rigorous, engaging and meaningful curriculum that provides an ideal preparation for senior studies and later life.

The Year 7 to Year 10 program follows the Australian Curriculum and upholds traditional values. It encourages girls to gain a comprehensive worldview and become outward-looking members of the community who care about others and the environment. Complementing the curriculum is a dynamic learning environment that is flexible, fosters creativity, and stimulates curiosity.

Learning in Year 7 to Year 10 is characterised by:

  • Finding joy and meaning in the learning process.
  • Developing executive functioning skills, including the ability to manage time, plan ahead, be organised, meet goals, follow instructions, and focus attention.
  • Collaboration and peer support.
